According to the research founding of International Data Corporation (IDC), the quantity of data in the world has entered the ‘era of ZB (zillion byte)’ ever since 2010. Furthermore, the quantity of data continues to increase by 60% every year, which hence means that by every 18 months, the quantity of data in the world will double in size. Thus, "Big Data" has become a highly anticipated concept and opportunities since 2012.

"Big Data" means a large and massive amount of data; its core concept is to apply data analysis techniques to extract useful information in order to clarify possible future trends or opportunities that could be excavated. According to Garner, an American company, "Big Data is a large, high speed, and (or) changeable information assets. It will require a new type of treatment methods in order to attain a greater decision-making ability, insight ability and optimized processing. With Big Data, the great accumulation of Internet data is no longer a waste, instead it has become a great business opportunities.

With the rapid development of Internet in the recent years, consumers can easily browse through website and view discussions of other consumers on a specific product or topic. In the discussions, people can share about their experience, opinion, or knowledge, consequently forming the “Online Word-of-Mouth” (also called the “Electronic Word-of-Mouth”, “Word-of-Mouse”, or “Integrated Marketing”). The information consumers view on the Internet then becomes an important reference for the majority of the people when they are purchasing a product or service. Hence, any form of message, opinion, or even emoticons that consumers published online, can be regarded as a part of Big Data.

Due to the urgent need of ‘Big Data Analysis’ by enterprises, since 2007 i-Buzz had been committed in developing an automated Online word-of-mouth collection and analysis platform, as well as establishing an industrial database. We offer an automated system that could quickly interpret the meaning of the massive data, hence serving as a solution and facilitation of marketing communication. The advantages are summarized into “GREAT principle” as below :
